In today’s post we will talk about a very important topic in today’s world: recyclable plastics on a campsite.
At Benisol, we are committed to the environment and want to do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint and protect our planet. Recycling is an important part of this commitment, but not all plastics can be recycled. In this blog, we will explain which plastics can be recycled and which cannot, so you can do your part to help take care of our planet.

It is important to understand that plastics are divided into different types according to their chemical composition. These types are identified by a recycling code on the bottom of the object.
This code consists of a triangle formed by three arrows, and in the centre is a number indicating the type of plastic. The plastics that can be recycled are those with codes 1 to 7. Each of these types is explained below:

Code 1: PET or PETE
It is used for beverage bottles, food packaging and clothing. This type of plastic is easy to recycle and is used to make new packaging and textile products.
Code 2: HDPE

At our campsite, we have separate recycling bins for each type of plastic that can be recycled. It is important to remember that not all plastics can be recycled, and that it is our responsibility to correctly separate materials to ensure that they are recycled correctly.
